Community-based Preview Exhibits Feature Work of Local Artists

SANTA CLARA, March 16, 2006 – “September Self-Portrait,” an acrylic work by artist Lorraine Rossini of San Carlos, will be exhibited at the Foster City Art Gallery650 Shell Blvd., Foster City from April 3 to April 28. There will be a reception on April 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Ms. Rossini’s painting is part of the Silicon Valley Open Studios PEEK Preview Exhibits that highlight works from selected artists participating in the 2006 Open Studios event. The community-based Previews are held in locations throughout the San Francisco Peninsula and will give the public an early look at a selected portion of the art that will be displayed by close to 350 artists, in their studios, during May. Admission is free.
